How to Track Monthly Bills on One Page (Printable Method)
A one-page bill tracker answers three questions at a glance: what's due, when, and whether it's paid. You don't need an app, just a page you look at every week.
The columns that matter
- Bill (rent, electric, phone, insurance, subscriptions)
- Due date: sort the list by this, not alphabetically.
- Amount: for variable bills, write last month's figure in pencil.
- Autopay? A Y/N column keeps you from double-paying.
- Paid: a checkbox plus the date.
Setting it up
- Pull your last two bank statements and list every recurring charge. Most people find at least one subscription they forgot.
- Order the list by due date.
- Group bills into two pay periods if you're paid twice a month.
The monthly 10-minute review
On the first of each month, copy the list to a fresh page, update amounts, and cancel anything you didn't use. Keep old pages in the File folder from our 4-folder paper system.
